Jessie Harrell released her debut novel “Destined” last November but many, including myself, are still very much infatuated with how intriguing and well written it is. It’s a wonderful introduction to the world of YA novels and a definite breath of fresh air from the usual vampires, werewolves, and demons. Jessie is a lover of Greek Mythology and this is the biggest inspiration behind her writing so I’m pretty much anticipating her future releases if she’s continuing on with this concept.
The author not only granted us an exclusive interview but also took on our ’10′ quick questions and provided some really interesting answers. Check it out below:
1.) What is your one-line positive thinking mantra?
Everything happens for a reason.
2.) Describe your personality?
I have a dry sense of humor and love to be impulsive – but only about certain things. I’m caring, perpetually late, a finicky eater, and easily excitable.
3.) What practices have you adopted that have led to a healthier lifestyle?
Oh, you are asking the WRONG person. Talk to my husband – he’s the healthy one in the household.
4.) The world is going green, have you embraced the trend?
Absolutely! I always have my reusable bags in hand at the grocery store, I recycle everything I can, and I don’t print case law at work anymore unless I absolutely need to (this saves a TON of paper, let me assure you).
5.) Three things you can’t do without?
My phone, the internet, and my family (Not necessarily in that order).
6.) Describe your fashion style?
Bohemian chic! You’ll most likely find me in Joe’s Jeans, a soft but detailed shirt, and some cute ballet flats.
7.) How do you unwind after a long week?
Reading, of course!
8.) What empowers you?
Having someone think I can’t do something. I love proving people wrong.
9.) What is your favorite cuisine?
Dessert aside, I love Italian.
10.) How do you creatively express yourself?
Well, there’s writing of course. But I also LOVE scrapbooking and if I had the time, I’d probably even spend a little bit of it doing counted cross stitch. That’s a still I’ve had since I was pretty young.
