‘Miral‘ is a drama directed by Julian Schnabel (Academy nominated ‘Before Night Falls‘) which is based on a Palestinian orphan girl of the same name. Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire) takes on the role of a 17 year old girl assigned to teach at a refugee camp, and becomes awakened by the struggles of her people. She then finds herself drawn into the conflict after falling for a political activist.

The film is set for release on March 25, 2011 in the US.  See the trailer below:
