The music video for Katy Perry‘s “Firework” is out, and it’s apart of a huge cross-promotional deal with European telecommunications group Deutsche Telekom. Deutsche Telekom hosted a series of activities and competitions from which fans around Europe will be recruited to be in the video.
The video was directed by Dave Meyers (P!nk, Missy Elliott, Shakira, Aaliyah, Kelly Clarkson, Justin Bieber) and shot in Budapest. It is actually quite interesting, where art direction is concerned, and the song is great. See for yourself:
“Firework” is the third single from Katy’s second mainstream, but third overall studio album “Teenage Dream” released August 24th.
Katy said that “Firework” is her favorite song on the album. According to Perry, the song was influenced by the Jack Kerouac’s novel “On the Road”.
