Rachel Roy‘s fall 2011 collection was travel-inspired. The models all wore Heidi braids and layered pieces on top of one another to give their looks texture. The day-to-night dresses were key, and a bit of sparkle on certain looks kept them feeling fresh.

The Marc by Marc Jacobs fall 2011 collection oozed with ’70s girlish charm. The lush fabrics—knits, tweeds, velvet and lurex—were prevalent throughout the line, even in the chic outerwear. Adorable shoes (some with reindeer on them!) and go-everywhere bags complemented the collection.

 

Badgley Mischka Runway show

The Badgley Mischka fall 2011 collection epitomized old Hollywood movie star style. The line offered a slew of evening options—and not just gowns—adorned with sequins, beads, tulle and netting. The outerwear, including shearling bombers and capelets, were also standouts.
