This is the first of many to come, featuring popular hits from back then to what the artist is currently making. It’s a special feature that will highlight a significant track in the artist’s career, and I hope our readers will enjoy this series as much as I know that I will. Readers can also send their requests to moi at firstname.lastname@example.org with “Artist Request” in the subject line. So to start it off, I’ve selected the sexy r&b star Usher. Find out which two songs I’ve selected from his long list of hits:
“Yeah!“, a mixture of r&b and crunk produced by Lil Jon, was Usher’s lead single from his fourth and Diamond certified album “Confessions” released in 2004. The song reached number one on 20 charts in 15 countries, including the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 which it topped for 12 consecutive weeks. “Yeah!” is one of the fastest selling hip hop songs ever and Usher’s most successful to date. The single ranks second on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade 2000 – 2009, and earned Usher a Best Rap/Sung Collaboration Award along with a Record of the Year nomination at the 37th Grammy Awards in 2005.
“OMG” is Usher’s fourth single from his sixth studio album “Raymond Vs. Raymond” released in 2010. The track is produced and written by will.i.am, and is the ninth number one hit single by Usher. This achievement has helped Usher to become the fourth artist of all-time to collect number one singles in three consecutive decades.
