Embrace You has joined Charity: Water (http://www.charitywater.org/) to provide a woman and her family (let’s call her Mariam) in a remote village in Africa with clean water. Charity:Water is a project founded by Scott Harrison to provide water to developing communities around the world.
Our involvement with this particular project was borne out of the need of wanting to make our footprints on a global issue that truly means something to us. Clean water is a basic necessity that every human being should have access to. There were four main ways of getting involved, which included, volunteering, getting your school involved, signing up for email updates, and what we ultimately chose. FUNDRAISING.
We have started the “EmbraceOneDollar” campaign: http://mycharitywater.org/Embrace-OneDollar in which we ask for your generous and kind donations of *drum roll* only $1 to meet our $1,000 fundraising goal which ends on July 17,2011. You will be contributing directly to Charity:Water and NOT Embrace You. Rest assured your $1 donation will not be misappropriated! We have 76 days left to accomplish our goal. Help us achieve it!
When you go to our EmbraceOneDollar campaign homepage, click on the (+) sign in the mid right corner to see what $1,000 can do, and look at the pie chart to see how that money will be apportioned. You will note that $1,000 will not only provide clean and hygienic water to Mariam and her family but to nine others.
We humbly ask that you put this message on your twitter timelines. You link this message on your facebooks, blogs. Matter of fact, print this particular blog post and pass it around to anybody. If you have rich friends, tell them we only want a $1 not a million, although the latter would be kindly welcomed! lol
Your $1 contribution will go a long way in making a difference in Mariam’s family and that of future generations.
Happy OneDollarings!
ya’ll are so aware of everything..truly a global site, i’ll definitely check out this cause and find out more
Go the extra mile and donate only ONE dollar! Tell your friends to tell their friends, to tell their friends until everybody knows about this campaign!
