’10’ Things To Know About Noree

Noree Victoria has a lot to offer. This ambitious lady has a resume that continues to grow, depicting her neverending love for the creative arts. While our exclusive interview goes further in depth in the story behind Noree’s journey, her ’10’ quick responses are just as informative and intriguing. Read on for more:

1.) What is your one-line positive thinking mantra?

“Leader first, follower second, afraid last.” … Be fearless, always. All that you can do, all that you can be, is usually right on the OTHER side of fear.

2.)  Describe your personality?

A “quiet playful”, if that makes any sense. I’m not rambunctious or loud, but I like to play in everything that I do, even when I’m working.

3.)  What practices have you adopted that have led to a healthier lifestyle?

Optimism. Claiming the EXCEPTIONS to every negative statistic. A strict exercise regimen. And lots of “whatever” moments — by that, I mean, when worrisome situations arise that I can’t control, where the initial human reaction might be to get upset or uptight, I mentally “trash bag” A LOT of things, and sit them out on my “emotional back porch”. Of course, that’s not always possible, but I’ve made the conscious decision that I’m not going to spend all my time on this earth worrying or complaining. There’s waaaay too much fun to be had.

4.)  The world is going green, have you embraced the trend?

Absolutely! I recycle, conserve water, I’m nice to trees and animals. I think I have a naturally green spirit.

5.)  Provide us with a few tips and tricks for holistic living?

Meditate. Shut out the world for a few private moments every day. And try as much as possible to eat things that don’t come in a bag, box, or can. More farms, less food factories… But I’m still working on a mean candy addiction. Hey, I’m not perfect.

6.)  Describe your fashion style?

Hmmm, I’d say “sexy-bohemian-chill”. I’m definitely a denim, funky boots, leather jacket, and tank-top type of chick. I’ve never been in love with dresses, or looking too “over-done”. If I had to pick a clothing line or two that depict my style, it’d be Free People, All Saints Spitalfields, and lines like “Worn Free” that carry vintage tee’s. I’d also rock Striver’s Row if they made a women’s line. Guy clothes are so much cooler, but they can be really sexy too, with the right fit. I take scissors to a lot of my clothing, but I wish I knew how to sew. My mother does, but I didn’t sit still long enough for her to teach me.

7.)  How do you unwind after a long week?

What’s a week? lol… No really, all the days just run together. I unwind in between projects by catching up with friends. I like to people-watch, walk around with ice cream every now and then, ride a bicycle, visit a beach, shop a little, party a little. I also love to spend time alone. I definitely need periods of solitude to reset.

8.)  What empowers you?

Just knowing that I can do this life “my way”. Frank Sinatra is a huge inspiration… That phrase is always in my head: “I did it my way”. I believe we control our own destinies, through thought and through action. We’re never stuck in any one circumstance. I just don’t think that way.

9.)  What is your favorite cuisine?

Indian food, hands down! Chicken tikka masala, veggie samosas, naan. Just, heaven. Well, that and Mexican. They’re neck in neck.

10.)  How do you creatively express yourself?

I paint, I dance and lip-sync in the mirror naked, I pretend, I write, and of course, I act.
