[Exclusive] Discovering Real Music “In My Coma”
When I heard the name In My Coma, my initial reaction was “what kinda name is that?” but then it all made sense once I discovered Magnets & Miracles. Words can’t even describe the feeling that takes over when I listen to their music. There’s absolutely nothing generic about it. It’s real, emotional, and pure talent. Trust me when I say that you’re missing out if you have no idea who In My Coma is, so waste no more time and purchase their debut album now.
Be sure to check out the video for “Losing Sleep,” one of my favorites, and of course, continue below for my exclusive interview with lead vocalist Jasper James: Continue reading “[Exclusive] Discovering Real Music “In My Coma””
’10’ Things About In My Coma
We couldn’t stop at just an interview. Of course we had to get Jasper to answer our traditional ’10’ quickies as well.
Check out his short but interesting responses below and be sure to leave your thoughts afterwards:
1. What’s your one-line positive thinking mantra?
Together, we’ll move onwards and upwards.
2. Describe your personality?
Jasper – Protective
LauraDoll – Heartfelt
Mike – Determined
3. What practices have you adopted that have led to a healthier lifestyle?
We have a great time at shows and we like to have fun, but we’re not heavy drinkers and we eat healthy. There’s nothing wrong with being a musician and leading a healthy lifestyle. We all hit the gym regularly and watch our calories. As a singer, it’s unbelievably important to be healthy unless you’re aiming for a short term career.

Stars face-off: Beyonce vs Miranda
Beyonce shopped Paris in a printed Carven blouse, bright Vionnet trousers and pointy-toe Louboutins. Miranda Kerr strolled N.Y.C. in a sheer Equipment blouse and skinny trousers accessorized with a black tote and nude heels. Credit: Instyle Continue reading Stars face-off: Beyonce vs Miranda
Diego Boneta, Remember That Name
This is a talented star on the rise, whether it be music or movies, Diego Boneta is always the one to watch. The Mexican American is most notable for his role in the soap opera Rebelde, as Javier in the revamped series 90210, and as Alex in one of my favorites, Pretty Little Liars. Diego released his self-titled debut album “Responde” in 2005, and has … Continue reading Diego Boneta, Remember That Name
“Summer Dreaming” with Kelly Rowland
Isn’t Summer absolutely beautiful and enjoyable, when it’s not too hot that is. Anyways, check out Ms. Kelly Rowland’s music video for Bacardi’s theme song “Summer Dreaming.” I love it, despite the euro dance elements. Credit: CanalDoRafah Continue reading “Summer Dreaming” with Kelly Rowland
Music Review: Usher’s ‘Looking 4 Myself’
Release: June 12, 2012
Label: RCA
Usher‘s latest sounds like a battle between r&b, pop, and dance. It’s a great mixture nonetheless, and I did enjoy every single track. I must admit I wasn’t expecting to being that David Guetta contributed to the album (sorry I’m not a fan of his generic sound). However, there were a couple tracks that won me over completely.
Looking 4 Myself is a wonderful depiction of where the artist is at this point in his life. It signifies where he’s going next with his music, and whether he’s prepared to take it to the next step. Trust me when I say that after you finish listening to this one, you’ll be convinced that Usher has indeed found himself and should look no further. I strongly suggest getting the deluxe version, that one’s even hotter. Continue reading “Music Review: Usher’s ‘Looking 4 Myself’”
f(x) Gives Us An Electric Shock
Eccentric kpop girl group f(x) has returned with a very vibrant music video to their latest single “Electric Shock.” I enjoyed the video very much, especially that tomboy’s colorful contacts and less than flashy attire. The song’s hot too. Check it out and tell us what you think: Credit: SM Continue reading f(x) Gives Us An Electric Shock
Blind Man Beats Girlfriend To Death, Mistakenly?
While catching up on some island news a very terrifying case caught my attention. According to the Jamaica Star news site, a blind man had allegedly beaten his girlfriend to death. Shocking indeed. The man gave his statement in court on why he committed such a dreadful act. Apparently he ‘overreacted’ to what felt like a piece of board being pushed against his side, thinking … Continue reading Blind Man Beats Girlfriend To Death, Mistakenly?

For Thought: When Is It Ever Okay To Use The ‘N’ Word?
Never. Why are we still using that word to begin with? I don’t care who you are, black, white, red or purple, can we just stop throwing the ‘ni**as’ word around already. Geez! I’m not ranting, just addressing an issue that’s been a long time coming, upon glimpsing news about Gwyneth Paltrow calling her friends, Beyonce & Jay-Z, the same controversial word. I guess Mrs. … Continue reading For Thought: When Is It Ever Okay To Use The ‘N’ Word?
Did You Hear?
Kahi will be “graduating” from her badass Kpop group After School. According to Pledis Entertainment, her label and management, as well as a ton of news outlet in South Korea, Kahi will be leaving the group to work on her solo career as well as her acting. Now, I don’t want to offend anyone but isn’t the reason why After School was so hot to begin with due to the presence of Kahi. I mean, she puts the fierceness in the group. And no one can pull dance moves off like she does. It’s definitely going to be hard to continue following After School now that Kahi’s leaving, but I’m sure true PLAYGIRLZ won’t waver their support. As for Kahi, I’ve always been a fan since her days as a dancer & choreographer, and will continue to ride with her to the end. After all, she is and will always be ‘The Queen of Dance’. I just love her versatility, don’t you?
Since the group’s formation the company did state that there would be a graduation system in place where members were free to leave as they choose to, but I’ve always considered this as a sugarcoated excuse for firing the members who don’t bank much for them. Well, just as they have the graduation system there’s also the admission part, Continue reading “Did You Hear?”
Rihanna’s “Princess of China”, in Coldplay’s Latest MV
I really like the song and it’s rather boring video. However, I feel this kind of music works better in Rihanna’s favor than in Coldplay’s. It’s too electro pop and aren’t they a supposedly alternative rock band? Anyways, check out the video and tell us what you think. Battlefield America has the potential, to fail
Don’t get me wrong, I love dance movies, especially when these films feature people who can actually dance. But what turns me off is their acting. And let’s keep it real, it’s hard to dance and act at the same time. Some may require further lessons, and by that I mean some excessive acting classes. Take Battlefield America for instance. The movie depicts the story of a young businessman who lands a community service sentence, which in turn led him to a group of misfit kids who need mentoring. With the help of a pro instructor, he works to get the kids ready for a big underground dance competition. Not a bad plot, right? Except for the fact that the movie’s directed by Chris Stokes (founder of successful but since failed boy group B2K, music producer, etc.) My point is that just because you’re a successful entrepreneur who made good music videos doesn’t mean you’re a superb film director. If you need proof, look at his previous directorial efforts. Continue reading “Battlefield America has the potential, to fail”
