Why Fans of Game Of Thrones Should Visit Dubrovnik

Even if you don’t initially recognize the name, city of Dubrovnik in Croatia holds a special place for the fans of massively popular TV show Game Of Thrones. With the show being based in fantasy world, one would think that much of the locations and imagery are computer-generated, but that’s not entirely true. Producers of this amazing show have made a smart decision to search … Continue reading Why Fans of Game Of Thrones Should Visit Dubrovnik

Utterly Speechless.

Wow! All I can say is wow! Not only did the talented Tessanne Chin deliver yet another wonderful performance, she managed to bring me to tears once again. I’ve been such a fan of Ms. Chin since forever, and every week I’m thankful people are getting to see just how beautiful, incomparable, raw, and emotional she is a vocalist and a person. In my opinion, … Continue reading Utterly Speechless.

‘SCANDAL’ Premiers Tonight, Will You Watch?

Just to re-cap, ‘SCANDAL‘ is  a new ABC series starring Kerry Washington, Columbus Short, and a bunch of other people. The drama focuses on a team of highly qualified fixers consultants who basically take care of any political controversies. I like the storyline and it does seem like an interesting show, but Kerry has never really wowed me with her acting. I’m only excited for her because finally she can be seen somewhere else instead of all these red carpet events. I mean, for a second I was beginning to wonder what her occupation was again. Anyways, check out the trailer once more below and be sure to share your opinion on the show. Remember, it premiers tonight at 10 on ABC.  Continue reading “‘SCANDAL’ Premiers Tonight, Will You Watch?”

Kerry Washington’s Involved In A ‘Scandal’

Don’t worry it’s nothing controversial, just that the stunning actress will be returning to television in the new ABC series “Scandal.” This drama will depict the life and work of a professional crisis manager and her dysfunctional staff. Kerry plays Olivia Pope, former media relations consultant to the President. Olivia Pope dedicates her life to protecting and defending the public images of our nation’s elite. After leaving the White House, the power consultant opened her own firm, hoping to start a new chapter — both professionally and personally — but she can’t seem to completely cut ties with her past. Slowly it becomes apparent that her staff, who specialize in fixing the lives of other people, can’t quite fix the ones closest at hand — their own. Awesome! Check out the trailer: Continue reading “Kerry Washington’s Involved In A ‘Scandal’”

Domestic Abuse, infidelity & An Unusual Family

Jdramas surely know how to stir up ones emotions when they get intense, and Kare, Otto, Otoko Tomodachi was no exception. This series was my first to watch since the start of the new year, and I’m more than satisfied with what I’ve been given. It was only eight episodes lasting about forty minutes each and I stayed up all night watching the entire thing. At first, I was sort of skeptical with how I might receive this drama, due to the fact that two of the daughters portrayed whorish behavior, and the eldest was trapped in a violent marriage that I couldn’t save her from. However, once each character was broken down and the audience got to analyze them individually, you could see the causes behind their behavior and the kind of life they built for themselves.

Jane’s the Newest Fashionista In Town & On Air

Jane by Design is ABC Family’s newest drama/comedy about a teen who’s mistaken for an adult and is hired by a hot Fashion company of her dreams. She’ll then go through the series balancing both the stresses of high school as well as the daily duties of a working adult. You’re probably wondering why doesn’t she just confess and live a normal life, but see the thing is, if she quits, she’ll risk losing the house that she and her brother are working so hard to keep, being that their father died and their mother is described as ‘bailed’ out on them.  Continue reading “Jane’s the Newest Fashionista In Town & On Air”

Violence on TV: when exactly does “Love” come into play?

Fact: with the amount of violence portrayed on television these days, why pay to watch a boxing or wrestling match. It seems that if reality shows don’t display some sort of brawl they’ll be deemed as boring. It’s never acceptable to get physical in conflicts, but I’m even more appalled at grown people who should be acting like mature adults, and even parents, demonstrate such poor and inexcusable behavior on national TV. It certainly goes both ways but I’m aiming this post particularly on the women. Whatever happened to class and sophistication? Such attributes fly right out the window when Continue reading “Violence on TV: when exactly does “Love” come into play?”

The Braxtons are back and so is the ‘Family’ drama

So, with all the excitement the first season of Braxton Family Values brought forth, I was definitely anticipating the second. And the first episode certainly delivered. The second season shows new development in each of the characters lives, except for Andre, he’s still living with Towanda and hasn’t had a book published yet. This is starting to make me think that maybe he doesn’t have any intentions of turning his life around. I mean, what kind of man feels comfortable about living with his wife’s sisters. He’s done it in the first season with Toni, and now he’s back doing the same thing with Trina. No uhh…Andre needs to get-it-together dot com. Continue reading “The Braxtons are back and so is the ‘Family’ drama”

Jin Akanishi “Takes” 2

The soon to be global pop star Jin Akanishi has unveiled the very short but interesting second episode in his webseries “The Takeover.” I previously posted about Jin’s plans on releasing an English language album in the states and some of the people he’ll be working with to accomplish that goal so there’s no need for me to emphasize again on his mission. So, back to the topic at hand. Episode two is basically a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming music video for his debut single “Test Drive,” featuring the auto-tuned singing sensation Jason Derulo. The video is being directed by Frank Borin, someone I’m not familiar with and I hope his work doesn’t live up to his last name, get it? *Borin. Just kidding. Apparently, they’re going for a “Gone in 60 Seconds” concept with fast cars and hot chicks. And from the little bit we’re given in the episode it looks alright-ish. Anyways, check it out below and tell us what you think. By the way, “Test Drive” is now available on iTunes so be sure to support the artist and purchase the song. It’s really good actually. I’m a devoted fan of Jdramas simply because of how deep and thought-provoking they can be at times or often giving us something to laugh about. So, while I was carefully searching for new series to catch up on, I came across a very compelling drama called “IS ~ Otoko Demo Onna Demo Nai Sei (neither boy nor girl).” The series is based on inter-sexual individuals and the various challenges they go through on a daily basis. It’s definitely an eye opener because while I know of the existence of such people I wasn’t really taking into consideration Continue reading “IS”

Annie Ilonzeh is an “Angel”

You might remember Annie Ilonzeh from the ABC soap opera General Hospital as the character Maya Ward, a role the actress stayed in from 2010 to 2011. These days, you can catch her kicking butt and looking glamorous while doing so on the newly revived action packed series “Charlie’s Angels.” Annie will be taking on the role of Kate Prince, a former Miami cop who takes no crap from anyone. Annie will star alongside Minka Kelly and Rachael Taylor, stars in their own right but my eyes will be glued on Ilonzeh simply because she has an amazing, well toned figure and I will be investigating to learn her secret in achieving such a healthy bod. Anyways, Continue reading “Annie Ilonzeh is an “Angel””

Draya Michele: Television’s new bad girl

If you’re a fan of reality television or have some particular show in general that you’re glued to, well “Basketball Wives: LA” has probably fallen into your list some way or the other. And if you’re familiar with that show then you probably know who Draya Michele is. This woman is either loved or hated by viewers, but most definitely the one that other cast members loved to hate. The former stripper recently stated in an interview with vibevixen that she’s used to people not liking her:

“I won’t be shocked if a lot more people hate me than they already do. People don’t always have the nicest things to say about me. So, I’m used to it already,” she said. Continue reading “Draya Michele: Television’s new bad girl”

8 Days a Week

BET‘s new webseries “8 Days a Week” is creating a buzz with its hip hop and pop influence. The series is based on the critically acclaimed book ‘The Come Up‘ and features six individuals trying to establish themselves and coping with life’s obstacles; it has plenty of potential along with a hot line-up. “8 Days a Week” stars Skye Townsend (daughter of “Parenthood” actor Robert Townsend), … Continue reading 8 Days a Week

TNT turned the light off on “HawthoRNe”

Jada Pinkett Smith‘s television drama “HawthoRNe” has been cancelled. Sad but true. The series lasted three seasons on TNT, and while its said to be a bit interesting, I’m surprised it lasted that long when even I was oblivious to its existence. Apparently the show was on eggshells but rumor has it that certain cast members’ alleged affair just fueled the final decision made by … Continue reading TNT turned the light off on “HawthoRNe”

Tia & Tamera Take 2

Like millions worldwide, I too became a fanatic of the talented twins Tia & Tamera Mowry after watching their hilarious sitcom “Sister, Sister” back in the 90s. So best believe that I was completely thrilled at the fact that they’re back together for a new reality series. “Tia & Tamera Take 2” has recently began airing on Style network, where the sisters give viewers the opportunity to see what goes on in their daily lives. These ladies basically grew up on television, and now fans get to see first hand of what step they’re taking next. We’re granted full access into Tia’s marriage and how she’s coping with being a first time mom and we also get to see Tamera planning her wedding and facing negative Continue reading “Tia & Tamera Take 2”

Oprah Winfrey says goodbye

After being on the air for 25 years, Oprah Winfrey has laid her globally known talk show to rest. I can’t say I’ve been keeping up with the show leading to its final episode, however, I am feeling somewhat sentimental towards it because I was more of a devoted fan while growing up. Though her crying can be a bit overbearing at times, I can sincerely say that I will miss it along with the laughs and other joys she (her crew) brought to us. Continue reading “Oprah Winfrey says goodbye”

Family issues!

On this week’s episode of the “Braxton Family Values”, Toni asks her sister Towanda and Andre (Towanda’s husband) to move in with her because Towanda was evicted in the previous episode, and also the sisters are presented with the suggestion to record another family album. Let’s address the first issue in this episode, Andre.

While watching I thought to myself, would I be so keen on moving in with my sister bringing my husband along with me? Hell to tha no. Continue reading “Family issues!”

Asuko March!

I’m currently addicted to the new Jdrama “Asuko March!” The main reason for that is because the story line is so original, the acting is amazing, a little humor here and there, and the concept is very creative. So if you haven’t been keeping up with what’s going on in the Jdrama world, well then let me introduce you to this new series.

Talented young actress Takei Emi stars in this school drama as one of three girls who ends up at a technical high school, after failing the entrance exam for the school she aimed for. Why only three girls you might ask? Well it is a technical high school that assists kids in developing their physical skills for manual labor, so it seems not many girls are interested in attending and Continue reading “Asuko March!”
