Evanescence’s “My Heart Is Broken”

Don’t you just love those emotional tracks from Evanescence? In fact, that’s what the band is known most for; emotional, passionate, melodramatic, sorrowful, you name it. They’ve made their latest album more bright and strayed a bit from their darker days. And that’s understandable being that Amy Lee along with the others are in a more uplifting place in life. [Review] Evanescence

After what seems like a lifetime of wait, Evanescence returns with their highly anticipated third studio album that has proven to be far beyond satisfactory. Evanescence, or should I say Amy Lee, has risen above the depressive concept in lyrics that had once over-shadowed the music, into a more lighter and exciting sound that provides a soothing atmosphere and captures the hearts of its listeners. And with this long ass intro I present to you my track-by-track review. Continue reading “[Review] Evanescence”

Evanescence set to make a fall comeback!

Despite the meaning behind their name, Evanescence will not be disappearing anytime soon. In fact, the band is gearing up to make their comeback to the world of rock this fall, and vocalist Amy Lee recently shared some information about their new album with SPIN:

“The record is fun — and that’s a totally new thing for us. When I listen to our old music I see that’s where I was in my life at that time. This has been a long trip and parts have been hard. But it’s about not taking everything so seriously this time.” Continue reading “Evanescence set to make a fall comeback!”
