Pop/Punk Rock artist Avril Lavigne has released her first single and video in years, five to be exact. The song, Head Above Water, is quite fitting after her long battle with Lyme disease and depicts how the singer found strength in God. The lyrics are beautiful so there was much expectation for the music video to capture that same depth. It truly did. Punk/Rock singer Avril Lavigne has returned with the music video for my favorite song on her fourth studio album “Goodbye Lullaby.” “Wish You Were Here” shows us a more vulnerable Avril, lost in her emotions and struggling to move on from the hurt she’s in. It takes us away from the fun personality she portrayed in “Smile“, and gives us a different side that is sad and lonely. Basically, she’s human just like us and she goes through stuff too. Check out the video below and tell us what you think. Continue reading “Avril Lavigne “Wishes You Were Here””
Avril Lavigne has unveiled her latest music video for “Smile“, the second single from her 4th studio album “Goodbye Lullaby“. I like the video because it features Avril in one scene rocking out and putting her spray painting skills to work, and in another scene she’s walking around collecting peoples broken hearts. In return, she puts a smile on their faces and ensembles a huge heart for herself in the end. The video switches between a green color theme to black & white. I love it; its simple and cool, and “Smile” is one of my favorite songs on the album, read my review if you didn’t know. Check out the music video below and if you haven’t purchased “Goodbye Lullaby” yet then stop wasting time and go support Avril now.
I’ve finally gotten my hands on Avril Lavigne‘s fourth studio album ‘Goodbye Lullaby’, and my first impression is “different”. Her latest effort sounds completely new and outstretched from her previous releases; don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean the album sucked, in fact, it is completely the opposite, ‘Goodbye Lullaby’ totally rocks. To sum things up in a few, Avril sounds vocally stronger than ever, the lyrics are more in depth, the music is hot and I’m completely taken in by her new sound. Definitely worth the wait and if you have doubts then purchase ‘Goodbye Lullaby’ right now. Allow me to dissect this piece of art and discuss why each song could be a single. Many big names in music are getting ready to release their new albums in March. From Britney to Avril, March seems to be the deadline for all. Among the many, some artists are making more highly anticipated comebacks, while others will end up being slept on. So just whose album are you anticipating the most? Here’s my list below:
Avril Lavigne surely knows how to keep a guy chasing her. In the music video for “What the Hell“, Avril shows off her bod in a sexy black lingerie, and later turns into a little troublemaker running around town, while her (very hot) love interest tries to catch her.

Avril Lavigne performed her new single “What the Hell” for the first time live on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve. It’s a really catchy song; the words are relatable, and I love Avril’s voice throughout.
