Wow! Leave it to a male group formed via reality television to re-capture the essence of what R&B music is. Speaking of the latter, doesn’t it seem like Rhythm and Blues is somewhat overshadowed by the lifeless, meaningless, fist pumping phase we now call club bangers. The world has adopted a sort of Pop frenzy but even pop doesn’t sound like pop anymore. It’s kinda hard to describe exactly what I’m hearing but it’s certainly not anything of substance. Erica Hubbard landed a place in the hearts of many playing Cassie on the popular ABC Family drama “Lincoln Heights.” However, beyond the alluring beauty of this undeniably smart woman lies not only a promising actress and model, but a philanthropist and budding author. Over the years we have seen Erica transitioned in the industry; taking on a variety of roles that far exceeds the performance of the previous. I would say she has indeed evolved further since her debut as a voice actress. These days, we can catch up with Erica on BET’s new television series “Let’s Stay Together.”And while Hubbard is currently known as one to watch out for, receiving praises as the young Kimberly Elise, she makes it a top priority to not only carve a place for her self in the industry, but to remain versatile and memorable while doing so. It’s rather rare if not shocking to hear someone say they’re unfamiliar with Erica’s work, but that only means finding another to make a fan out of. So, how do you begin describing this impeccable actress? By going back to where it all began for her. Continue reading “Erica Hubbard: The Versatile Actress”
Dominican model, actress and television personality Julissa Bermudez has established herself as one of the most highly demanded talent in media. It must be her irresistible beauty, or energetic and bubbly personality that charms anyone who’s graced by her presence. Julissa is most notable for her work on BET’s 106 & Park, and Jersey Shore: After Hours. She has also appeared in several television series and films including “Make it Happen” and “Harlem Hostel.” There’s definitely nothing stopping this talented lady from taking it to the next level, and I’m certain she’s always planning the next big step. Diddy – Dirty Money released the music video for their latest single “Coming Home” last week, but I still wanted to post it here just to discuss the song, which I think is a really good record.
“Coming Home” is the group’s fifth single and my third favorite on the album; my first and second being “Love Come Down” and “Hello Good Morning” ft. T.I. The song features Skylar Grey (Grammy nominated singer and songwriter who provided her vocals on the chorus), and was written by Shawn Carter (yes Mr. Jay-Z). Diddy makes reference to a popular song in each verse, and the lyrics seem to depict his life over the years. The music video shows Diddy – Dirty Money walking through a desert with the remains of what appears to be a horrible fire.
Just in case you didn’t take the time to watch the video, I don’t want to give too much away, so please check it out for yourself below:

Meet Brutha, an American R&B quintet consisting of five brothers: Grady, Cheyenne, Jacob, Jared, and Anthony. The group became known nationally through their reality television show “Brothers to Brutha” on BET. The show displayed Brutha’s hard-work and determination to make it in the entertainment industry.
In 2007, the group’s uncle Donny Harrell, the CEO of Goodfellas Entertainment, and (the now late) Shakir Stewart, a Senior Vice-President of A&R at Island Def Jam, invited the brothers to Atlanta to audition for Jermaine Dupri. Dupri became impressed and later signed them to Island Def Jam Music Group.
