Kelly Rowland is an “Empress”

Diddy‘s launching a new fragrance for women tentatively titled ‘EMPRESS‘, and to top things off he chose Ms. Kelly Rowland as the best leading lady to represent his new scent. Spotlight – Skylar Grey

Meet Skylar Grey, an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. Skylar is best known from the Fort Minor single “Where’d You Go” under the name Holly Brook, and the songwriter for Eminem & Rihanna’s hit “Love The Way You Lie“.

Skylar Grey was born Holly Brook Hafermann in Wisconsin. As a child, she performed in a folk duo called Generations alongside her mother. Generations recorded three albums: “Dream Maker“, “Lift Me“, and “Millennial Child/Waiting For You“. Grey joined a band when she was 15 years old, and at 18 moved to Los Angeles to record her first demo. Continue reading “Spotlight – Skylar Grey”

Dirty Money’s “Coming Home”

Coming Home feat. Skylar Gray

Diddy – Dirty Money released the music video for their latest single “Coming Home” last week, but I still wanted to post it here just to discuss the song, which I think is a really good record.

“Coming Home” is the group’s fifth single and my third favorite on the album; my first and second being “Love Come Down” and “Hello Good Morning” ft. T.I. The song features Skylar Grey (Grammy nominated singer and songwriter who provided her vocals on the chorus), and was written by Shawn Carter (yes Mr. Jay-Z). Diddy makes reference to a popular song in each verse, and the lyrics seem to depict his life over the years. The music video shows Diddy – Dirty Money walking through a desert with the remains of what appears to be a horrible fire.

Just in case you didn’t take the time to watch the video, I don’t want to give too much away, so please check it out for yourself below:
