Sinead Harnett Reveals Official Video For “Body”

UK singer/songwriter Sinéad Harnett has unveiled a sensual new video for her latest single “Body,” which Pigeons & Planes praised for its “wistful vocals,” proclaiming it “a bittersweet song of secret loves and vulnerability, and further cements Harnett’s voice at the front of England’s R&B movement.” While relatively simple, conceptually, the video aptly utilizes color to convey the intense roller coaster of emotions associated with a deeply passionate love … Continue reading Sinead Harnett Reveals Official Video For “Body”

Music Review: Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon”

Release date: October 9, 2012

Label: Interscope Records

Purchase: Amazon | iTunes

Rating: 5/5

Ellie Goulding is like  a sweet breath of fresh air to music since her debut. The talented European has undeniably shaken the industry with her enchanting and unique voice, soothing and thought provoking songs, and of course that distinctive beauty. The bundle necessary to make a statement and consider it brought. I had high expectations for Goulding’s sophomore album and I was indeed impressed. Halcyon took me by surprise and completely shitted on my brain. I’m left in this state of dependency;  I need to hear this album over and over to feed my addiction. What can I say? Ellie is in fact a ‘Goulding’ girl and I’m expecting just results from the charts. Continue reading “Music Review: Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon””

[Review] Estelle’s “All of Me”

All of Me

Your reaction to Estelle‘s new album can either be one of two ways: absolutely bored to death, or you’re receptive of something fresh. Let’s just say I’m stuck in the middle on this one. Her new music didn’t wow ‘all of me,’ sure there were a few hidden gems along the way, but in all honesty, I fell asleep on most of the tracks. Estelle is a talented soul from across the waters and I’ve been impressed since she first graced us with the notable “American Boy.” Her humble personality and unchanging belief to uphold her values is highly commendable as well. However, sometimes I wish she’d bring more of that energy into her music; I mean, whether its sounding particularly too reserved or lyrically off, there’s usually something not connecting well with me. But then again, it could be just that, me. Continue reading “[Review] Estelle’s “All of Me””

Coldplay releases ‘Mylo Xyloto’, do we care?

Coldplay‘s latest album ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ is officially released today but sadly I’m just not interested, and I never was. The group did pique my interest back when they first came out with that song ‘The Scientist,’ however, I was never a fan of their music. I don’t see what all the hype is about. I mean, sure they’re talented an all but so are other … Continue reading Coldplay releases ‘Mylo Xyloto’, do we care?

Natasha: “Fashionista on the rise”

snowblackblog - Tom Andrew photo

Model, blogger, photographer, and traveler, you name it, Natasha Ndlovu is that and more. This uncommonly beautiful young lady caught my attention recently while I was browsing the net and I couldn’t help but notice her awesome style. Aside from being a fashionista, Natasha is quite the versatile and diverse one. This London-based all-rounder studied Visual Arts in Canada, attended school in Paris for a year, then finally settling in London. She demonstrates classy, chic, trendy, and edgy outfits like no other. Ndlovu carries so much swag that is far beyond suffocating. I expect to see big things happening in the near future, which includes a blossoming fashion career and more public awareness as long as she keeps doing what she’s currently doing, utilizing the power of blogging about fashion. Check out a few samples of her coolness below. There’s intensity and attitude in her style and poses: Continue reading “Natasha: “Fashionista on the rise””
