So, I caught a little bit of some tennis the other day and saw there was a player from Luxembourg. Don’t laugh, but I wrinkled my forehead trying to remember if I’d ever heard of the country before. And its true, I haven’t. So of course I googled everything Luxembourg, from the culture, to the food, to their royalties. Check out my findings: Henri Désiré … Continue reading Do you know Luxembourg?

First of all, I am so thrilled to have discovered this album on Amazon. Quadron is honestly new to me and I had no expectations, no idea whatsoever about the kind of music they make, but let me tell you I’ve gone bat shit crazy listening to this album. Avalanche sounds like a blast out of the 70s. It embodies the feel good type of music even your grandparents can enjoy. I mean songs that actually make you sit and listen to the words, or get up and dance but still listen to the words and soak it all in. It’s just great. And the only issue I have is with myself, for only now finding the Danish duo. Continue reading “Music Review: ‘Avalanche’ by Quadron”

Well, I haven’t, not until today. Guernsey, pronounced gurn-zee (thank you Wikipedia) is a British Crown dependency in the English Channel off the coast of Normandy. So, I’ll just leave some links at the end of the post you can check out when you have time because I don’t. Now, indulge yourselves in the sheer beauty of Guernsey: Continue reading “Ever heard of Guernsey?”
Charlotte Clothier and Larissacunegundes, as they are known on Chictopia are two completely different fashionistas (from the UK and Brazil respectively) with a whole lot of style. I came across both of these lovely ladies while browsing the fashion kingdom, and instead of selecting one to feature I chose both. Because they’re equally stylish. Check out my favorite looks of the two below, and stop by their pages (CHARLOTTE_CLOTHIER & LARISSACUNEGUNDES) for more: Continue reading “Fashion Features: Charlotte & Larissa”
Who is Katy Tiz? “I’m always the loud one.” Let’s leave that fact aside for now. Katy’s a singer/songwriter from the UK getting ready to drop her debut album, and is currently gaining notable attention for the playful single ‘Famous‘. Seems like a floodgate had burst open to unleash some talented British musicians lately, because Ms. Tiz is the latest natural born talent on route … Continue reading [Exclusive] Katy Tiz: An interview with the “loud one”

Almost seven years in the biz and three years since her last album ‘echoed’ in our ears, with the exception of Hurt pleasantly filling the cold space in between, Leona Lewis has returned with her third studio album, Glassheart.
There’s no second guessing when it comes to the natural talent of this British songstress. She has hits to shut you up with. But with several delays, including coping with the restructuring of her record label, will third time really be a charm for the soulful lady? Let’s analyze: Continue reading “Music Review: Leona Lewis “Glassheart””

Ellie Goulding is like a sweet breath of fresh air to music since her debut. The talented European has undeniably shaken the industry with her enchanting and unique voice, soothing and thought provoking songs, and of course that distinctive beauty. The bundle necessary to make a statement and consider it brought. I had high expectations for Goulding’s sophomore album and I was indeed impressed. Halcyon took me by surprise and completely shitted on my brain. I’m left in this state of dependency; I need to hear this album over and over to feed my addiction. What can I say? Ellie is in fact a ‘Goulding’ girl and I’m expecting just results from the charts. Continue reading “Music Review: Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon””
