The nominees for the MTV Video Music Awards was recently announced and Katy Perry leads with nine, including Best Female Video and Video of the Year. Coming in second is soul singer Adele and controversial rapper Kanye West with seven nominations each. Some were speculating that Lady Gaga would lead the pack however the theatrical performer is up for only three alongside Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, and Eminem.
