The Different Faces of Friends

I usually don’t take the time to classify friends but recently I’ve been reminiscing about my high school days and some of the friends I had that turned out not to be true friends in the end. My memories led me into deep thinking and I came to the conclusion that all my friends, the ones who are still there and the ones that have let me down, have three different faces: Continue reading “The Different Faces of Friends”

Do your friends really like you?

Have you ever taken a step back to truly reflect on your actions or how you fair in the eyes of your friends? I know I have. Often times we as human beings are quick to point the finger and tell others how wrong this is or what they ought to do better, but how do we react when it’s vice versa? Are we to listen to their opinion and acknowledge shady things about our own personalities or do we push it aside and say there’s nothing wrong about our characters? I Hate My Friends…Sometimes

We’re all human, so of course there will be days when all we need is time by ourselves. Sometimes your friends will think you’re trippin’ and probably not understand how much you just want to be left alone. They’ll say stuff like ‘you shouldn’t be alone right now,’ or ‘talk to me that’s what friends are for.’ Therefore, you somewhat get  annoyed with them during those times and probably even dislike them for a few minutes (hours) before snapping back to reality. It’s crazy, but I know its true.  Continue reading “I Hate My Friends…Sometimes”

Would you date your friend’s ex?

There’s always a line you shouldn’t cross when it comes to your friend’s love interest, you know, the “do not flirt with my boyfriend/girl”. So does the line still exist even after they’ve broken up? In my opinion, it does. Why would you enter a relationship with someone who dated your friend? not only will it be awkward for him/her when they go around your friends, but it also causes conflict between you and the friend whose former love you’re now with.

Is Your Boyfriend in a Bromance?

There’s only one thing worse than having to fight off girls aiming to steal your man,  and that’s having to fight off their best friends with that same goal. Girls understand that when a boyfriend enters the picture it is inevitable that the friendship is going to change, but boys, and I use boys for a reason, seem to cling to their friends for dear life Continue reading “Is Your Boyfriend in a Bromance?”

Friends with Benefits?

Men and women can be friends, but the grounds upon which friendship are established have to be treaded upon carefully, especially if there is a slight hint of attraction. Friends with benefits to my understanding means a very personal, highly privileged friendship. The only boundary set  is the understanding that neither party is committed to the other. In essence, emotions are deemed to be non-existent, but we … Continue reading Friends with Benefits?

Your Friends Say A Lot About You!

The kind of friends you keep say a lot about the kind of person you are. There’s a saying that goes “show me your friends, and I’ll tell you who you are”, which basically means, if your friends are positive then you must be a positive person as well, but if your friends are negative, then you must be too. In life, it is always … Continue reading Your Friends Say A Lot About You!
