I’ve been streaming the 56th Annual Grammy Awards Red Carpet arrival and for the most part, I liked how the stars were dressed. Sure there were a few hmm along the way, but it’s interesting to see so many different styles at one event. My sincerest apologies for the two day absence but I needed time to collect my thoughts.
Melanie Fiona has a new album out. Well, to be more precise, the album has been released since mid-March. ‘The MF Life‘ is the singer’s sophomore effort highlighting a turning point in her life. The music comes harder this time around. The words are real and unapologetic. It’s Melanie Fiona like you’ve never heard her before, and after listening to the new album you’ll completely understand what I’m talking about. Your reaction to Estelle‘s new album can either be one of two ways: absolutely bored to death, or you’re receptive of something fresh. Let’s just say I’m stuck in the middle on this one. Her new music didn’t wow ‘all of me,’ sure there were a few hidden gems along the way, but in all honesty, I fell asleep on most of the tracks. Estelle is a talented soul from across the waters and I’ve been impressed since she first graced us with the notable “American Boy.” Her humble personality and unchanging belief to uphold her values is highly commendable as well. However, sometimes I wish she’d bring more of that energy into her music; I mean, whether its sounding particularly too reserved or lyrically off, there’s usually something not connecting well with me. But then again, it could be just that, me. Continue reading “[Review] Estelle’s “All of Me””
The Grammys was rather bittersweet tonight, honoring not only the best in music but mourning the loss of one of music’s greats so there wasn’t much of a happy air. However, celebs still tried their best to enjoy the night by looking their best (or ehhh). Check out the arrivals below: Continue reading “2012 Grammy Awards Red Carpet”

2011 American Music Awards live show won’t exactly remain in my memories but the fashion probably will. Check out some of the night’s hits & misses below:
Kanye has released the music video for his single “All of the Lights“, and I’m actually feeling this song. It’s my second favorite along with “Runaway” from his “Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” album. The music video was directed by Hype Williams and features Kid Cudi, Rihanna, along with a dozen other singers which I have no time to mention. The video somewhat plays on the lyrics to the song, depicting issues faced by families in society. I particularly liked that the song has substance, but what I didn’t appreciate was Rihanna’s outfit in the video (sorry to diss you on your b-day). Why must this chick make everything about sex when it’s not even that kind of song. Anyways, see the video for yourselves and tell us what you think.
