[Review] Lady Antebellum’s “Own The Night”

Lady Antebellum wasn’t new on the music scene when they stole the hearts of many worldwide with “Need You Now.” However, it was the aforementioned that gained them the respect they worked so hard for. The country group received much appreciation for their harmonic and pure singing filled with raw emotion that reaches the soul of anyone who dares to listen. Should there be an individual to deny that fact then they obviously don’t know what good (meaningful) music sounds like. With “Need You Now” embedded into the minds of many, the trio certainly had one of the most anticipating albums of the year, in country music that is. 2011 Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet

 

 

Stars were either looking hot or a hot mess on the red carpet at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards held in Las Vegas. The BMAs are given out to music’s most popular artists. The finalists and winners are determined by their rank on the Billboard charts and their “social and streaming activities. The three hour event was packed with hot performances, but despite being an award show it was more like a promotional ground for pop artists to showcase their latest music. [Review] Lady Antebellum’s “Just A Kiss”

Fresh off the global success of their “Need You Now” album, Lady Antebellum returns with their newest single “Just a Kiss”. The song embodies particles of a romantic country ballad that the trio is known to bring forth. The mixture of pop along the way crosses it over to mainstream, but the piano and acoustic guitar keeps it grounded in its country roots. This song won me over the moment the music started playing. It’s so soothing and intimate, giving a feeling as if you can no where but forward.
