The Grammys is probably the only award show that I care to watch. So I wanted to share something about music’s biggest night aside from the performances and winners. Check out the red carpet and tell us who your favorite is. Credits: Lester Cohen + Larry Busacca Continue reading 2015 Grammy Awards Red Carpet
I truly enjoyed Ciara’s debut and sophomore albums but to be honest I went to sleep on her previous two. But now, her fifth studio album definitely has me wanting to pay attention to her music again. The self titled fifth album has concepts swaying from sex, love, being bold, and having fun. It’s actually quite tolerable as rudiments used aren’t all in your face and vulgar. Ciara does a rather classy job bringing forth tracks otherwise deemed as raunchy, and soars satisfyingly on more laid back mellow songs. There’s also some experimenting going on, with the presence of reggae, dance, a little bit of rock, and some electro pop even. A track by track will give you a better idea of how I’m feeling towards the album:Continue reading “Album Review: ‘Ciara’”
Who’s on point and who looks like they just rolled over and showed up? Check out the red carpet arrivals at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and tell us who you think was the best dressed of the night. By the way, did you see Miguel slam that girl? Oh boy.
I always enjoy the VMAs, not just for the cool performances and voting on who I think should win, but I also like seeing the stars on the red carpet. And like any red carpet arrival, a celeb can either look hot, or like a hot mess. Check out some of the arrivals below and tell us who you think rocks and who didn’t: Continue reading “2012 MTV VMA Red Carpet: Hot vs Flop”
Prepare to bob your head, rock out, stop and think, then bob your head again. “Strange Clouds” encompasses the most brilliant production a rap album has delivered all year. Are you convinced yet? Well, get to your nearest music store or visit a digital one and get a copy of this album, not some selective tracks but the entire thing cause you’ll definitely miss out if you pass on “Strange Clouds,” B.o.B‘s magnificent follow-up to his just as impressive 2010 debut.
The Grammys was rather bittersweet tonight, honoring not only the best in music but mourning the loss of one of music’s greats so there wasn’t much of a happy air. However, celebs still tried their best to enjoy the night by looking their best (or ehhh). Check out the arrivals below: Continue reading “2012 Grammy Awards Red Carpet”
Willow Smith is not making anyone forget she’s a big Rihanna fan. In fact that’s becoming more evident in her style of singing. The youngest in the Smith clan has released the music video for her latest single “Fireball,” which features the hit rapper and official Barbie lover Nicki Minaj. I liked the theatrics in the opening of the video and the choreography of the … Continue reading Willow drops a “Fireball”
There’s a particular stigma attached to fashion magazine editors that they’re basically robots incapable of displaying warmth or any form of human emotions. And this as yet to be proven otherwise. I’m sure we’re all familiar with the film “The Devil Wears Prada,” and while I’m in no way aware of the daily inner operations of the fashion industry, I’m certain many who have the first hand experience can attest to the fact that their bosses are exactly like the villain portrayed by Meryl Streep. This leads me to the rumored inspiration behind that character, Anna Wintour. Continue reading “Dear Anna Wintour, please lighten up”
Ms. Barbie has revealed her latest work of art. The music video for the single “Fly,” which features pop singer Rihanna, has various concepts ranging from scenes inspired by a disaster movie to straight up ninja assassins. And Rihanna has never been so covered up in a video these days so I must give her props for that too. I really like the purpose of … Continue reading Nicki Minaj “Flies” with Rihanna
The 2011 BET Awards was held on Sunday June 26th at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and the show was everything but organized. You’d think after being around for a few years and now classified as a prestigious award show that it’d have everything under control, however last night I felt as if I was watching the first show ever. Here’s what in my opinion would have made the show exceptional: Continue reading “2011 BET Awards!”
Stars were either looking hot or a hot mess on the red carpet at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards held in Las Vegas. The BMAs are given out to music’s most popular artists. The finalists and winners are determined by their rank on the Billboard charts and their “social and streaming activities. The three hour event was packed with hot performances, but despite being an award show it was more like a promotional ground for pop artists to showcase their latest music. Anyways, check out the fashion hits and misses below:Continue reading “2011 Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet”
Nicki Minaj seems like she was blessed with more creativity than any other artist when it comes to artistic direction in her music videos, and the latest “Super Bass” is no different from the rest. Nicki goes poppy and takes her love for pink to a higher level. It’s only expected since her album is titled “Pink Friday“. The single is dedicated to her man; he treats her well, stays fly, and knows how to satisfy her. Nicki got it bad for the guy that’s why she’s singing that he has that “Super Bass“. Watch the music video below and tell us what you think about it. Continue reading “Nicki Minaj releases a very pink new video”
For her latest work of art, Nicki Minaj gets romantic with fellow Young Money rapper Drake, in her new music video for the single “Moment 4 Life“. Nicki Minaj has released the music video for her single “Right Thru Me“, and it is definitely a bit more reserved compared to her other works. Nicki Minaj portrays a more romantic and vulnerable side to her. I really like this video.check it out below: Continue reading “Nicki Minaj’s “Right Thru Me””
