Don’t we all love opening weekends? Well, only if the movies showing are interesting. 2011 was definitely a pathetic year for movies and Hollywood seemed to have suffered a decline. However, 2012 is looking brighter so far. Mark Wahlberg is back on the big screen in his latest action packed thriller “Contraband.” The film depicts a protective brother willing to take huge risks in securing the life of his sister and her husband. There’s certainly some adrenaline to look forward to when it comes to Wahlberg. I’ve been a huge fan since “The Big Hit” and I am not turning back anytime soon. He never disappoints me. Karen Mukupa spent most of her youth living back and forth between two continents until finally settling in Denmark. Music has always been her dream, and this she conveyed to her family at a young age. By the 90’s, Karen became one half of the Danish reggae/hip hop duo “No Name Requested”, alongside the late Natasja Saad, who died in 2007 in a traffic accident. Though the duo never released a full album, their singles achieved critical success in the Danish music scene. Mukupa broke away from “No Name Requested” with the release of her first solo album in 2000, followed by the release of her second album in 2002.
