What happens when you have ‘100’ members in a group?

Okay well not exactly 100, I kind of exaggerated there a bit. But I think having a ton of members in one music group means each individual has to work like crazy to bring in the dough and to keep your position. So, what is my definition of too much? Well, if there’s more than 5 members then I consider that a packed group. And we all know where to find some of these gigantuous groups, don’t we? Of course, they exist only in Asia. Artists Have To Sexify Their Music To Make It Sell?

A question that has always been on my mind for years: why do artists sexify themselves in order to sell music? Females show a lot of skin in barely there outfits, and perform provocative dance moves, while the males sing about sex, sex, and more sex.

Is that what a musician have to do in order to become a “superstar” so to speak? Is that why artists like Vivian Green, Heather Headley and Jazmine Sullivan are underrated, because they are more ‘conservative’?

Why is there 48 members in a group?

I’ve been hearing a lot about a Japanese pop group called ‘AKB48‘. This is an all female idol group that has their own theater in a Tokyo district called Akihabara, which their name is shortened for. To my understanding they’re divided into three sub-groups, Team A, Team B, and Team K; each consisting of 16 members.

AKB48 has recently been entered into the ‘Guiness Book of Records‘ for having the most members, which is great, but I’ve been thinking to myself, ‘how much can one member make when the profit is divided among 48?’ and so I came up with a bunch of answers to that: Continue reading “Why is there 48 members in a group?”
