I watched the Peter Berg alien/action flick a few days ago before it actually premiered in the states. And I’m glad I didn’t spend any money to watch it because as much as I love Taylor Kitsch, his performance wasn’t super fantastic. However, the action did stir up my adrenaline. Also, Rihanna did well not talking too much and leaving it all for the battlefield, or should I say waters. 

Aside from the fight to save earth from these ugly ass alienistic beings, the storyline wasn’t as strong, and no one was believable. For example, when Taylor’s brother died right before his eyes, his reaction was a bit too subtle to convince me he was in pain. I mean, dude’s ship was up in flames, but Taylor’s face looked like he was at the Oscars, simply bored. Maybe its me, and if it is then by all means set me straight.
