Predictable “Deeds” & Slow “Valor,” Both Still Enjoyable

Opening weekend doesn’t always draw me out to the movies, unless I have absolutely nothing better to do, or there’s a particular film that piqued my interest. After seeing the trailers for “Good Deeds” and “Act of Valor,” I thought why not? Spotlight – Tiffany Evans

Meet Tiffany Evans, an American R&B singer, songwriter, and actress. Best known for her appearance in the hit Tyler Perry movie “Diary of a Mad Black Woman“, and for her debut single featuring Ciara, “Promise Ring“.

Tiffany was born on August 4, 1992 in Bronx, New York. She is the seventh of ten children by her parents Carol and Lonnie Evans. In 2003, on her fourth star search appearance, Tiffany won the Grand Champion title in the junior division. She is also the only performer in the history of the show to receive perfect five scores on all of her performances.

Spotlight – Kimberly Elise

Meet Kimberly Elise, an American film and television actress. Elise has gained notable critical acclaim for her roles in ‘Beloved‘, ‘John Q‘, ‘Diary of a Mad Black Woman‘, and the television series ‘Close to Home‘. Elise is often cited as the ‘young Cicely Tyson‘, an honor in regards to her remarkable acting skills.

Kimberly Elise Trammel was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She completed her BA in Mass Communications at the University of Minnesota. Elise made her movie debut in the 1996 film ‘Set it Off‘, starring alongside Jada Pinkett-Smith, Vivica A. Fox, and Queen Latifah. Her breakthrough role was in the television movie ‘The Ditchdigger’s Daughter‘ in 1997. The film was based on the Pulitzer-prize nominated 1995 memoir ‘The Ditchdigger’s Daughters: A Black Family’s Astonishing Success Story’, written by Yvonne S. Thornton.

Meet Brian J White, an American actor, dancer, stock broker, football player and activist.
