Almost seven years in the biz and three years since her last  album ‘echoed’ in our ears,  with the exception of Hurt pleasantly filling the cold space in between, Leona Lewis has returned with her third studio album, Glassheart

There’s no second guessing when it comes to the natural talent of this British songstress. She has hits to shut you up with. But with several delays, including coping with the restructuring of her record label, will third time really be a charm for the soulful lady? Let’s analyze: Continue reading “Music Review: Leona Lewis “Glassheart””

Music Review: Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon”

Release date: October 9, 2012

Label: Interscope Records

Purchase: Amazon | iTunes

Rating: 5/5

Ellie Goulding is like  a sweet breath of fresh air to music since her debut. The talented European has undeniably shaken the industry with her enchanting and unique voice, soothing and thought provoking songs, and of course that distinctive beauty. The bundle necessary to make a statement and consider it brought. I had high expectations for Goulding’s sophomore album and I was indeed impressed. Halcyon took me by surprise and completely shitted on my brain. I’m left in this state of dependency;  I need to hear this album over and over to feed my addiction. What can I say? Ellie is in fact a ‘Goulding’ girl and I’m expecting just results from the charts. Continue reading “Music Review: Ellie Goulding’s “Halcyon””

Coldplay releases ‘Mylo Xyloto’, do we care?

Coldplay‘s latest album ‘Mylo Xyloto‘ is officially released today but sadly I’m just not interested, and I never was. The group did pique my interest back when they first came out with that song ‘The Scientist,’ however, I was never a fan of their music. I don’t see what all the hype is about. I mean, sure they’re talented an all but so are other … Continue reading Coldplay releases ‘Mylo Xyloto’, do we care?

Do you know “Who You Are?” Jessie J does

Singer/Songwriter Jessie J has released the music video for one of my favorite songs off her album of the same title. “Who You Are” is about staying true to yourself and not conforming. I love the message and the voice. She pulls you in with every line and I love how emotionally charged her singing is. As for the video, it’ rather simple, but at the same time intense. Wait til the end for the theatrics. Check it out and tell us what you think: Continue reading “Do you know “Who You Are?” Jessie J does”
